Seaport Southern Sweet Tea

  • 8 cups hot water
  • Extremely Fine Meshed Tea Balls or Tea Bags
  • Seaport Tea
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups ice


  1. Pour 8 cups hot water into a heat-proof, glass pitcher. Add baking soda and stir. (This makes tea translucent opposed to cloudy!)
  2. Prepare tea balls or bags by adding Seaport Tea to them and securing tightly. Place in pitcher and steep for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove lid and pull tea balls or bags out. Discard contents as they should not be reused.. Stir in sugar until dissolved.
