This sausage seasoning is THE best! we are originally from Beaumont but live in Arkansas now and order this to make our own pork sausage.. won't use anything else. I have tried many but always come back to Tex-joy.

Pros:
  • It's so dang good
Cons:
  • Not everyone carries this product
We live local to the facility and make our own sausage with our harvest from our hunting season. This year we made deer, wild hog, uncured unsmoked bacon, and brisket (with fat). We tried this sausage seasoning for the first time with the recommended amount of seasoning per pound of meat and it was spot on. We'd tried other companies and they were good but not as good as TexJoy. This is absolutely going to be my new normal sausage seasoning until I cannot make sausage anymore. Now, to get it offered in larger containers, since we smoke 100 pounds or better 2 to 3 times a season.

I grew on in Hamshire, Texas and making sausage in a Czech tradition. Me and my Mom mixed 35 pounds & stuffed the casings once and used Texjoy unbeknownst to my Dad when he went into the house to get the 4 o'clock dose of Seaport coffee. After smoking the sausage and he tasted the first one he said" this is the best sausage we have ever made"

Good Breakfast Sausage with a few mods

Pros:
Cons:
For breakfast sausage I take a 12 oz jar of TexJoy Sausage Seasoning, add 2-3 tablespoons of cayenne pepper and mix it thoroughly. I then combine 3 tablespoons of the seasoning with cayenne and 1 tablespoon of ground sage with 5 Lbs of meat. I'm hunting feral hogs, so I use 100% ground pork. It gets good reviews from friends and relatives who have tried it.

Just started using this, I have made 40lbs of pan sausage, 40lbs of plain smoked sausage, 40lbs of jalapeño and cheese smoked sausage. Love the mild flavor for the grandkids and wife. Will definitely be using it more often
